I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen

When company comes,- when this happens Mia or I will kick Conner out  and send him to the kitchen and laugh 

But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.

Tomorrow I’m going to eat with them- Conner 

Mia or i will open the door let the company in and Conner will go sit at the table and wait for us to come sit down and we wont say anything to him and let him stay

The reason why we are doing this is because it’s showing that someone is sticking up for themselves and that he doesn’t care what anyone has to say because he wont listen to it and if someone does say something its going in one ear and out the other

My first impression on the poem “I, Too” by Langston Hughes was that this was going to be a story about this this black women or man and how they suffered. It came off as someone was going to be more a slave then someone who stood up for them selfs.  And i thought it was going to be sad and heartbreaking the whole time and disturbing in a way. The more i read the poem over and over the more i realized how strong this person was and how much self convince this person had in them selfs. The person came off with a very strong attitude and was very straight foward. He or she wanted to be able to show that they were worth more then what the people were looking at and, and they shouldn’t be douting someone for there skin tone. What I liked about the poem was how he or she was able to have so much convinced to be able to make them selfs happy by doing something that was kinda a bold move. They wanted to show the person they were living with that they had more to show and more to bring to the table then what they were looking.  The reason why i thought this was such a moving part was because its kinding giving a massage to people who have low self esteem that you can do anything as long as it makes you happy and to not be afraid to push for something.

1. How did you think of starting something off in a sad way and turning it around to make it happy?
2. How did you give so a good massage in such a short amount of time?
3. How long did it take you to come up with this poem? 
4. What was you feeling when you realized how popular your poem came?

The poem "I Too" by Langston Hughes:
- there are 5 stanzas
-I don't really feel as though there is any rhyme scheme but I do feel the flow of the everything is pretty fluent
- figurative language
- the meaning of this poem to me is that the poet grew up with not so nice peers and seemed as he/her peers were embarrassed of he/she and would rather have them hide in the other room to eat then eating with them. but the poet makes it seem like he/she will be coming over he/shes fear and going to eat with them at the main table

The poem "Mother to Son" by Langston Hughes 

- there are 20 lines 

- no rhyme scheme, and no stanzas 

- the major theme would be working out and having self convince 

- the poem is about the thoughts of a mother who is going through a rough patch. she knows to fight everything she's going through and to be strong. she looks passed her miserable life and encourages her son to look up to her and to push pass all the bad and live his life happy.

The poem "The Red Wheelbarrow" by William Carlos Williams 

- this tone of this poem is very dry, it  was kinda boring and not a lot was talked about besides a red wheelbarrow and chickens needing that wheelbarrow. but it talked about rain which is just sad in general so the poem is self was sad and boring.

Is heaven really better

   “Heaven” by Kane Brown is a big eye opener. It shows happiness, carrying and the love that someone could have for someone. The reason why i like this poem so much is because it shows how much he actually cares about his partner because he is expressing his love for his partner to the world, and to me thats’s true love. As much as this poem may make me feel lonely in ways it makes me happy because it shows there are good guys out there. 

A few times it says “i don’t know how heaven, heaven could be better then this”, i love this line because to me it is saying he’s ready to spend the rest of his life with her until he goes to heaven. The way he expresses his feeling to the whole word to show his partner he wants nothing else but her shows me how much he cares for this person which gives me hopes one day. When he says “im right where i wanna be” it is telling me he is all settled in on where he is in his life right now and makes me feel lonely because for a guy to put this much effort out makes me want to have high hopes and find someone like him one day. 

   The one line that always makes me sad and really gets to me is when he says “everybody’s talking about heaven like they just can’t wait to go” to me that makes me sad because he wants to live as long as he can to be with his love. He is showing he is ready for commitment and is telling her she is the one. The way he turns his love into a poem to show how much he cares for one person makes it hard to believe that there are guys out there that actually do this because it gives other people high expectations. 

  This poem makes me just feel relaxed and laid back because of the way he puts his love into words. The more you actually read the words and pay attention to what they are saying the more you understand the connection. Not every guy is going to be like Kane brown but the way he shows his love for his wife and isn’t afraid to put it out to the world shows how much he truly cares for her.

  According to Kane, heaven isn’t better, him spending his time with his wife and creating this kind of love poem to share with this world is what he finds better and couldn’t be happier with what he’s doing with life. He wasn’t putting this out to the world to get famous he was putting it out to the world to just show his love and so many people fell in love with this message he become famous off of it. So buy him sharing an honest message it changed his life around.

5) the overall tone of this poem is happy and i think this because he is sending a message to the love of his life.

6) this song  makes me feel laid back 

9) I like this poem because he is saying this to his fiance who is about to become his wife,and i feel like it brings joy to the couple and shows how much he cares about her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. And that was really makes me like this poem because it has meaning to it.

Group performance

What I found hard about working as a group was that me personally felt that I had more pressure on me to remember mine lines and was more scared to mess up because if I messed up I would mess the whole group up.
 What was easy for me was actually performing in front of the class now I felt more comfortable being in front of the class more than I did last time.
What made the performances interesting was that there were more people to pay attention to and got different emotions from everyone so it was more fun.
What worked was as a class was everyone was more supportive this time so everyone was less scared to work together.
