1. What was your vision as a director/creator for this project?
I wanted to be able to catch the attention of the audience from the first photo, and I wanted to be able to create something that is more modern so it was up dated and everyone would be able to understand 

2. What elements of the original story did you maintain in your project?
I didn't really keep anything the same I kept the same idea but made it different. so in the original story it was a train crash, but in my story it was a plane crash and at the end I kept it kinda the same when the wife dies but I had my wife die of shock of something in a dream and the original had her die of shock when the husband came in.

3. What did you change about the original story in your project?
I changed the fact that there was kids in the story and that the wife actually liked the husband.

4. What is the twist or climax of your adaptation?
the twist is that when the wife gets the phone call it is actually dream so she never actually got the phone call but was so in shock she had a heart attack and passed away.

5. What is the strongest part of your project so far?
I would say the strongest part of my project so far would be the wife waiting for the husband to get home, falls asleep and has a bad dream but you won't know that until she passes. 

6. What is the weakest part of your project so far?
the weakest part of my project so far is that the kids don't really do much and I want them to be more involved.

7. How has this project helped you learn about how stories work?
this project helped me learn that you really have to have some kind of twist in the story in order to make it interesting and keep the readers awake.

8. How has this project helped you learn how theater works?
that the little things matter when it comes to giving detail because you want to make sure the audience knows whats going on and doesn't feel lost 

modernized the story idea

The mother is a stay at home mom and the husband was going to be flying back that night from a business trip.

The kids were all in bed sleeping because they had school the next day and it was late. 

The mom was going to stay up and wait for her husband to come home. 

So she was sitting in the living room on the couch with the tv on waiting.

When all of sudden she got a phone call that her husband’s plane had crashed and he didn’t make it.

She woke up from her dream in such shock and from such fright that she lost her husband she had a heart attack. she was so scared that the man who paid for everything had passed away

The husband got home and found her on the couch and by the time he got home and found her she didn’t make it. 

It turned out he missed his flight so he had to get the next plane.

modernize this story

I think to modernize the story we need to update the emotions of the story and make things more clear. maybe slow the ending down just a little bit
